OWNER OF THE COMPANY ‘ENTERIJER JANKOVIĆ’ WINS THE ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD 2014
The company Enterijer Janković is proud to announce that the director of the company, Božo Janković, has been declared EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 in Serbia, by the International Audit and Consulting Company EY (Ernst & Young). Božo Janković, the national award winner will represent Serbia at the competition for EY World Entrepreneur of the Year, organized by EY this June in Monte Carlo.
There were 21 entrepreneurs from 10 cities in Serbia competing for the award ‘EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014’. The representative of the company EY Serbia, Stephen Fish, expressed his satisfaction that Serbia is one of 60 countries in the world celebration entrepreneurship in this way, for the third year in a row. He stressed that the awarded entrepreneurs should represent models of successful business operations, whom others should look up to.
This year’s independent selection committee was led by the last year’s national award winner, Rade Ljubojević, the owner of Sirogojno Company d.o.o., who was EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Serbia for year 2013. Other members of the selection committee included Darko Budeč, the owner of the company Buck (Buck d.o.o., EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 in Serbia), Edvard Jakopin from the Ministry of Economy, and Prof. Dr Dejan Ilić, the leading manager of the company Varta, winner of EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 in Germany, in the capacity of the honorary member of the committee.
The selection of the winner was based on key factors such as the entrepreneur spirit, financial indicators, strategic orientation, presence in the regional or international market, innovation, and personal integrity.
On this occasion, director Božo Janković, when asked to give advice to young entrepreneurs on how to achieve business success, said the following:
‘Firstly, they must follow the latest trends in technical and technological matters. Secondly, they must educate themselves and their staff daily. Thirdly, they must adapt to these times as they are the times of rapid changes. Should they not do so, they will be left behind and their company will fail. Fourthly, and perhaps most significantly, they must monitor all expenses.’
The owner of Enterijer Janković says that the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, for every manager, undoubtedly represents the pinnacle of business success, especially in today’s business conditions, when even the world’s best managers are faced with many obstacles in the pursuit of successful management of the company.
‘To win this award today and to represent Serbia in Monte Carlo at the competition for the World Entrepreneur of the Year is an even greater validation that the efforts we have put in the progess of our company as well as in the progress of the society as whole are being appreciated’ – said Božo Janković, the winner of this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
